Supporting Black Owned Creative Businesses

I’m super excited to share with you some cool products that encourage creativity, and as an added bonus they are all from Black entrepreneurs. Join me in supporting black owned businesses in ecommerce.

There are LOTS of Black Creators

First, I feel passionate about supporting other black entrepreneurs. I’m a black creator. I started my first creative business at age 10 and have enjoyed birthing several businesses, including this blog you are reading (here’s another blog about creativity I think you might enjoy). Secondly, as a black entrepreneur, I understand the the struggles of operating a business as a minority. So I’m using my platform to highlight amazing products while supporting black owned businesses.

Feeding Your Soul by Tabitha Brown

This #1 New York Times best selling book by Celebrity Vegan Cook Tabitha Brown is a must have.  If you don’t follow Tabitha on Instagram, you definitely should!  She is funny and very inspirational and wants everyone to feel good about themselves.

Not to mention her killer vegan recipes!  Listen I am a true meat eater, but opened my eyes, and the eyes of many in the black community, of vegan options that can actually be yummy. She has me going to whole foods to find jackfruit.  I never thought I would.

Playtime Bedsheets

These activity sheets for kids are pretty cool. Now I’m not a parent and at first glance I thought these were counterproductive. You go to bed to “go to sleep.” But after looking at the reviews, kids LOVE them.

They encourage independent play and learning.  The sheets come with over 60 games and activities on the sheets and pillow.  I wanna hear 1 parent tell their kids “Go to your room and play with your sheets.”  That would be hilarious.

Inklings

Inklings, a Math and Memory is a creative game for kids. This product was created by kids for kids.  The game has cute graphics, encourages learning and creativity.  It’s a Win/Win/Win in my book.  Check it out HERE

TRU COLOURS Bandages

I’ve struggled with wearing Band-Aids my entire life. The “nude” bandages are not nude for my skin tone and always stick out. I normally opt for patterned or colorful bandages since it will stand out anyway. But these bandages change the game and come in a diverse array of colors. YAY! It’s great for all those glue gun burns we get as crafters.

BLK and BOLD Coffee

This very popular specialty coffee is perfect for those long crafting sessions, or just in general.  I’m clicking ADD TO CART!  Check it out HERE

Orijin Bees Baby Dolls

This last recommendation is not “craft” related, but she’s just so stinking cute I couldn’t leave this off the list.  This brand has an array of cute dolls with different hair styles. Check it out HERE
